The URI chapter of the engineering honor society Tau Beta Pi inducted new members at a ceremony on Dec. 9. Fifty-two junior and senior students, representing all eight engineering programs at the University, were inducted.

The following Emerson College students secured internship positions in Los Angeles beginning in September 2014 and ending in December 2014.

Led by Head Coach Brett Sayer, Assistant Coaches Scott Fitzgerald and Allyson Le-Bruno, and Student Assistant Coach Connor Gallagher, the team is comprised of 14 student-athletes including six first-year students, two sophomores, three juniors, and three seniors.

Colby-Sawyer College welcomes 381 first-year students during the fall of 2014.

New students have enrolled in Worcester Polytechnic Institute, one of the nation's first engineering and technology universities.

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that more than 4,000 undergraduates have qualified for the Spring 2014 Dean's List. The students represent all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, many other states and more than a dozen countries. More than half of the students are Rhode Islanders.

To be named to the Dean's List at Plymouth State, a student must achieve a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.69 during the fall semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester. These credit hours must be in courses that earn grade points and the student must have completed all such courses attempted.

Hofstra University congratulates the students named to the Spring 2014 Dean's List for their outstanding academic achievement. Students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the semester to make the Dean's List.
